Northern Ireland drone surveys that see what ladders cannot
Most roof problems start small and invisible. A drone survey puts a camera where a ladder never goes and a written report in your hands, so you can decide what needs doing, and when.
Our drone survey services
Every survey follows the same honest order: plan the flight around the property and the weather, capture the roof and roofline from every angle the law and the sky allow, then report what was found in writing, with the imagery attached.
Book your aerial survey
Send the address and what you want seen from above. A local specialist will confirm the details, fly the site and send you the findings.
A proper look, from a perspective you cannot get from the ground
A drone survey replaces the ladder and the scaffold tower with a camera drone flown by a licensed pilot. The pilot photographs and videos the roof, roofline, chimneys and gutters from every angle, often in a single visit, and the imagery becomes a written report: what was checked, what was found, and what (if anything) needs attention. Because nothing touches the building, surveys happen quickly, quietly and without scaffolding costs, and problems that hide from the ground, a lifted slate, a cracked flashing, a gutter sagging behind a parapet, show up clearly.
From first message to aerial images
- 1
Enquiry and scoping
You describe the property and what prompted the request. A specialist confirms that a drone survey is the right tool and what the flight costs.
- 2
Flight planning
The pilot checks airspace, weather windows and access around the property, and agrees a survey time with you.
- 3
The survey flight
The roof, roofline, chimneys and gutters are photographed and filmed from every angle in a single visit, usually over within a couple of hours.
Times when an aerial survey pays for itself
These are the moments an aerial survey earns its keep.
Early warning signs
- A buyer's, seller's or lender's surveyor has flagged the roof for closer inspection
- A storm has passed and you want to know what it did to tiles, slates, flashing or gutters
- You are buying a property and want the roof checked before you commit to the purchase
- A leak has appeared and the source is not obvious from inside or from the ground
- Chimneys, solar panels or a flat roof need checking without scaffolding costs
Why roofs hide problems in Northern Ireland
Most of the defects a drone survey finds were caused by ordinary weathering and ordinary building, not by anything the owner did. The common ones across Northern Ireland:
- Rain, frost and wind-driven weather working at flashings, ridge tiles and pointing over the years
- Storms that lift slates or tiles without leaving any clue visible from the ground
- Gutters and valleys that hold water after blockages, quietly rotting the roofline behind them
- Older repairs that never quite matched the original roof, leaving weak points beside the patch
- Chimney stonework and mortar joints wearing back, out of sight above the gutter line
